Crypto investors have long had to choose between holding their coins or spending them. But the number of crypto credit cards is growing — and in many cases, they’re quite rewarding. The concept of cryptocurrency debit cards isn’t exactly new. They’re a way to spend your cryptocurrency transactions easier for others to accept payments in crypto. But with the rise of Bitcoin prices in 2023, several new crypto cards have emerged.

If you’re thinking about applying for a credit card that earns rewards in Bitcoin or another cryptocurrency, there are a few things you should know. Below is what you need to know about the best crypto rewards cards available today.

BlockFi Rewards Visa® Signature Credit Card

Ideally, for the first 90 days, you receive a rewards rate of 3.5%. You receive 1.5% cash back on all purchases made after the bonus period that are eventually converted to cryptocurrencies and kept in your BlockFi account. As an account holder, you get a 2% rewards rate for annual spending over $50,000.

Numerous currencies, including Litecoin, Bitcoin, and other stablecoins, are available to cardholders. There are no yearly fees and no sign-up bonuses and to earn with the card, the cardholder must have a FICO score of 690 or higher.

SoFi Credit Card

The cardholder gets 2 SoFi reward points for every $1 spent on all purchases. New users can earn up to $100 upon signing up and getting approved for the SoFi Credit Card. There is no annual fee. You earn 2 SoFi Credit Card points for every $1 spent.

Venmo Credit Card

The Venmo Credit Card offers 3% cashback on your monthly highest expenditure in eight different areas. A 2% cashback in the second of the remaining seven available spending categories. Additionally, you are entitled to 1% off on all purchases, barring those that don’t fit into the chosen categories.

Both a sign-up bonus and an annual charge are absent. Customers with Venmo Cards have the option of automating cash backs on redeemed rewards. Without paying any transaction fees for any of these.

Brex Card

Brex Card has a standard rate of 1 point for every dollar spent. But, guaranteed higher rates in the event you make it your company card.

  • 7 points for each dollar spent on rideshares and taxis
  • 4 points for each dollar on trips booked through the Brex portal
  • 3 points for a dollar spent in restaurants
  • 3 points for every dollar spent on purchasing Apple products via the Brex portal
  • 2 points for every dollar spent on recurring software expenses
  • A point per dollar for every other different purchase.

When you spend the first $1,000 (£830) on your Brex Card, you receive 10,000 points. However, if you use your Brex Card for $3,000 (£2,487) during the first three months, you can receive the 10,000 points. Furthermore, when you link your payroll to your Brex account, you receive an additional 20,000 points.

The good news is that there is no yearly charge. Ideally, this card was intended for new companies that had recently established new redemption options and rewards can be redeemed by Brex Card holders, specifically for Bitcoin and Ethereum.
